II. Vietnamese-English Translation

1.       We thank you for your offer dated 15/10 regarding rush mats and have pleasure in placing our order on the following terms and conditions.

2.       We are pleased to accept the prices you quoted in your offer dated …. and enclose herewith a firm order for ….

3.       The following documents are to be made into 3 copies which are used to receive goods.

4.       A set of technical document is to be sent to us via air way first for Vietnamese translation.

5.       We would like to stress that on-time delivery is highly important since this order plays such a big part in our building construction.

6.       We appreciate it if you could make fast delivery since we are highly in need of the goods to finish selling to our customers.

7.       We hope to receive your agreement for sale/delivery notice by mail.

8.       Please confirm your agreement for this order, this confirmation must get to us no later than… days from the date of order.

9.       If sales are as high as we expect, we will place some more orders soon.

10.   We hope that this order will lead to a later business relationship between us.

IV. Letter writing

Dear Sirs

We thank you for your letter dated …., in which you enclosed a catalogue, samples and quotation of your vacuum cleaner’s range. And we’re pleased to place an order under the following terms and conditions:

1.       Commodity: Vacuum Cleaner, model KS20A

2.       Quality and specifications: as per attached specification and designs

3.       Quantity: 2000 (two thousand) units

4.       Price: as per your quotation

Unit price: USD 100/unit

Total price: USD 200,000 (two hundred thousand US dollars)

Since this is our first order with you, we require a 6% quantity discount. The price should be understood as CIF Saigon Port including packing, subject to Incoterms 2000.

5.       Payment: we’d like payment to be made by an irrevocable letter of credit at 8 months sight. We hope you understand as it takes a period of time for this new kind of product to be consumed.

If the sales of this order is high, we will be very happy to sign a contract to become your selling agent to promote this product’s sales in Vietnam, as we have a net of stores in all vietnamese big cities.
